So exciting - Mike and Barb are going to England and Paris! Here is the adventure from Barb's point of view!
The reason: to cheer for Julia and the Canadian Women's Rugby team as they compete in the 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup. This event takes place every four years and Team Canada is focused on improving their 4th place standing in the World. Natalie, who is moving to London to live and work for up to two years, will be joining us at the sidelines. Go Canada Go!
But wait - there are five games held every four days. What shall we do inbetween? Ummm. Sightseeing - yes! Family history tour - yes! Laundry - hopefully!
The planning: I toured England & Paris 33 years ago but can't remember much, and Mike has not been, so . . . a year and half of planning and we have a long list of places to go and things to do. A day-by-day itinerary in a 3-ring binder became our trip bible - maps, hotel & B&B reservations, names & address of people to meet, train routes, and a London Tube Oyster pass, all ready to go!
