"Cape Town:
If I did indeed leave my heart with Paris, I certainly had a wild affair with Cape Town. It felt so much like Vancouver…
city surrounded by mountains falling into the ocean, the
fragrant breeze stirring your hair while you sit at a
waterfront restaurant reading your favourite novel. Or in my
case, the Lonely Planet guidebook. The ocean and the fresh
air were such comforting changes after the electrically dry
atmosphere of Joburg.
Of course, I didn't just sit around breathing the air… we
went hiking, exploring character filled coastal towns,
kayaking, picnicking, sunset watching, wine tasting in world famous Stellenbosch, and did general fun things like
watching street dancers and getting lost in rush hour traffic.

Yeah, that was fun. But the biggest shadow in our sunny week was hearing that a woman was eaten
by a 6m long great white shark in Fishhoek the day after we were there! So we fled to Singapore."
