Tyler - born
and raised in Surrey, BC
Elizabeth - born and raised in Selah (near Yakima), WA
From the time they were both young, God placed in each of them a heart for
missions overseas and gave them opportunities to serve. After meeting in
Bible College, they knew God had groomed them to be a career missionary
couple. Their callings and giftings so complimented each other that they
knew God had orchestrated their coming together. The best day of their lives
occured August 16, 2003, when they were married at White Rock Baptist Church!

This summer,
as they sat in church, Tyler heard God tell him to go to South Africa.
He told God, "NO," because it wasn't in his plan to go overseas
until he finished his degree next year. But God said again, "Go to
South Africa." So Tyler told God that He had to give him peace. Tyler,
after reading the following Scripture, turned to Liz and said, "I'm
willing to go to South Africa." She turned to him with tears in her
eyes and said, "Me, too!" God had been saying the same thing
to her, at the same time. They knew God had called them to go in January,
2004.

Isaiah 55:
8-13 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your
ways My ways," says the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher
than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts
than your thoughts. . . . For you shall go out with joy, and be led out
with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing
before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. . .
. And it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that
shall not be cut off."

To teach in
an elementary school in a small village called Willowvale on the southeast
coast of South Africa. There are 200 students, from the Xhosa tribe, of
which about 50 live on campus. The children start pre-school not knowing
any English and by Grade 7 graduation, they are fluent in English and
in the Word of God. There is Chapel-time every morning and Christ is the
focal point of the children's education. Tyler and Liz are committed to
teach for one year and after that, as the Lord directs. VIEW
