JULY LETTER
Dear friends and family,
We greet you all in the wonderful name of Jesus.
We are currently enjoying winter break here in South Africa before the
students arrive back
at school on July 20th. We are busy preparing our classrooms, curriculum
and our hearts for
the return of our students as we begin third term. We are both excited
to have our kids
back; we have missed them terribly. My kids are excited to see me again
because they know
that I have returned with sour candies and licorice. One girl in my
class has been insistent
that I not share any candy with any other class but grade five. They
all sent me off to
Canada with love notes and reminders to bring them candy.
Please
continue to pray for us and also for the safe arrival of our students
and that we will
be able to jump right back into the swing of things without any problems.
I
was blessed with a plane ticket home to attend my brothers wedding,
which was a
wonderful joy to be a part of. I also had the opportunity to see some
of my friends and family
in Canada while Elizabeth stayed behind for the completion of last term.
Next month we will
celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary. My trip home was the first
time we had been
separated for any length of time and found it to be a growing experience.
While in Canada I
realized that my home is where my wife is and I am glad to be back with
her.
Also,
please continue to pray for our finances. We have had a modest response
to our
financial obligations but are still in need of some immediate assistance.
Elizabeth and I are
here because we are being obedient to Gods call for us to voluntarily
serve these children.
We receive no income but rather pay to be here to teach in this desperately
poor and needy
corner of the world. Please pray that God would move on the hearts of
people to provide the
remaining support needed.
May
God richly bless you and we pray that you have a wonderful summer
In
Him,
Tyler & Elizabeth Jorgensen
