SEPTEMBER - PRAYER REQUEST
(See below for update on this incident)
Dear friends and family,

Last week Lizzy and I were up in our house and at the kitchen window we can overlook the back road. A lady was walking and was stabbed in the back by a young man, he stole her purse and blanket and ran. Barry (from downstairs) and I along with two other men from the mission jumped in a truck and chased him. We circled Willowvale but did not find him. It happened just outside our door and the lady just left the house where one of my girls lives. She saw the whole thing happen. The lady was hurt bad, she was stitched up but had difficulty breathing we think he punctured a lung. She was taken to Butterworth (1 hr away) to the nearest competent hospital. Anyway, all that to say please pray for Willowvale. It happened just outside our door and it could have been anyone. Lizzy was nervous that I went out chasing after him. She was afraid that if we found him that I would try and restrain him, and that he would stab me or at least cut me and I'd get AIDS. Anyway, it just goes to show how iminent the danger really is. I mean this happens all the time in Whalley and East Van, but it was right outside our door, in full view, it's sort of humbling.

Please keep us in prayer, pray for the safety in Willowvale, for Yonela (who witnessed it), for the people who live every day with that fear of being attacked. I've not yet had any trouble, but many people live in fear here. Please pray.

In Christ,
Tyler & Elizabeth
Willowvale, South Africa

October 11 Update on the above Prayer Request

We just learned that the lady who was stabbed last month is out of hospital and recovering. We haven't
seen her yet but we hear she's doing well, and the man who stabbed her was captured and now in prison.
Praise God!
